Senior Planner Vacancy

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Planner to join our team. In this role, you will take a leadership position in the planning and coordination of major project activities, working closely with the delivery management team. About You

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Experience:
    Has over 5 years of experience in project planning or a related field within the engineering and construction sectors. 
  • Leadership:
    Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members. 
  • Skills:
    Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Positive Attitude:
    Maintains a positive attitude and demonstrates continuous professional conduct. 
  • Education/Background:
    Holds a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or comes from a trades background with site management experience. 
  • Strong Communication:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Danish. 
  • Interest in Data:
    Strong interest in data analytics and proficiency in Excel. 

Role & Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination

  • Software Proficiency:
    Utilize project planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, and MS Project. 
  • Data Analytics:
    Lead data analytics and project intelligence dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, and Excel. 
  • Schedule Development:
    Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules and controls. 
  • Critical Analysis:
    Perform in-depth critical analysis and review of schedules, reports, and program management outputs. 
  • Documentation:
    Prepare and manage extensive project planning and scheduling-related documentation including processes and procedures. 

Progress and Compliance

  • Critical Path Analysis:
    Manage and mitigate critical path analysis. 
  • Progress Tracking:
    Oversee progress management to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. 
  • Contractual Compliance:
    Manage contractual compliance and prepare detailed contract review reports. 
  • Earned Value Management:
    Implement earned value management for accurate project assessment. 
  • Auditing:
    Conduct thorough program auditing to ensure compliance and efficiency. 

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Client and Subcontractor Liaison:
    Maintain and enhance effective communication with clients and subcontractors, managing their programs and coordination. 
  • Meetings and Presentations:
    Lead project meetings and prepare and deliver comprehensive progress presentations to project teams. 
  • Delay Management:
    Handle delay claims and extensions of time (EOT) management with expertise. 
  • Advisory:
    Provide strategic program advisory to the project team and perform maturity assessments on clients to identify areas for improvement. 

Leadership and Mentorship

  • Team Leadership:
    Lead and mentor junior planners and other team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. 
  • Best Practices:
    Promote best practices in project planning and management within the team and organization.
